  • I Live Here I Give Here X ASMBLY Makerspace

    Asmbly is Austin's largest nonprofit makerspace. Our mission is to enrich Austin's maker community. This year, we will be using funds raised during Amplify Austin towards our outreach programs including our first ever scholarship fund benefiting youth transitioning out of foster care as they reach adulthood.  With your help, these scholarship recipients will receive:

    Orientation and Shop Safety Class - teaching them how to work in a community shop safely and harmoniously

    3 months of membership at Asmbly - providing access to shop space and equipment

    Class credits - to learn specialized skills on industrial-grade equipment

    Project kits - containing materials and project plans to practice their new skills

    Community - our vibrant community of makers are always eager to share their ideas, challenges, and knowledge

    We hope to inspire our scholarship recipients to explore their creativity, consider career options in the maker realm, and challenge their beliefs on what they are capable of.
